The Commercial Property Academy
Ongoing Graphic Design Support: Commercial Property Academy
Suzi Carter is Director and Mentor at the Commercial Property Academy (CPA), a training and mentoring platform that helps investors build long-term wealth through commercial property. Alongside the core Academy, Suzi runs The Board, a small group mentoring programme offering in-person meetings, personal support, networking and field trips for investors ready to accelerate their results.
Eighty3’s relationship with Suzi actually began before any design work took place. The two connected through a property course run by one of Eighty3’s own clients, and it was through that existing relationship that Suzi came to Eighty3 in 2018/2019, initially to design a logo for the newly forming Commercial Property Academy. That first project grew into an ongoing partnership, with the monthly design of Suzi’s CPA workbooks now sitting at the centre of the relationship.
At that point, Suzi already had branding in place for her existing business, Strongoak Investments. Rather than starting from scratch, Eighty3 used this as the foundation for the new CPA identity, and later, the branding for The Board.
The Challenge:
The brief was a familiar one in brand-family design: create something unique and standalone for the Commercial Property Academy while keeping it recognisably part of the same family as the established Strongoak Investments brand. The CPA needed its own identity that could stand on its own two feet as Suzi’s flagship training business, without losing the visual thread that connected it back to where it had all started.
As the CPA grew and The Board launched as a premium offering within it, that same challenge repeated itself on a smaller scale: a mark that felt distinct enough to represent something special but was still unmistakably part of the wider Suzi Carter brand world.
Our Approach:
Eighty3’s process centred on initial concepts, feedback and development, cycling through directions with Suzi until each identity felt right. Rather than a single, sign-off-and-move-on project, this became the pattern for the relationship as a whole. Each new brand extension, whether a logo, an icon or a set of templates, has gone through the same collaborative loop of concepts, feedback and refinement.
At the heart of that ongoing process is the monthly workbook design for the Commercial Property Academy. Every month, Eighty3 designs the workbook from scratch, liaising directly with Suzi and her team throughout, before taking it through to sign-off and print. It’s a steady, recurring piece of work that has become the backbone of the relationship, and it’s this monthly rhythm that keeps Eighty3 closely connected to Suzi’s brand and content as the Academy evolves.
That way of working, cycling through feedback, staying close to the detail, and doing it again every month, has meant Eighty3 has built up a detailed understanding of Suzi’s brand over time, which has made every subsequent piece of work faster and more consistent than starting fresh with a new agency each time.

This relationship is one of the clearest examples at Eighty3 of what long-term client partnerships can achieve. What started as a single logo has, over more than six years, grown into genuine brand management, with Eighty3 acting as an extension of Suzi’s team rather than an outside supplier brought in project by project.
It’s also a good reminder that businesses don’t need an in-house design team to get top quality graphic design. With the right ongoing partner, a growing business can maintain a consistent, professional brand across everything from print to social media, while staying focused on what they do best.
