Crafting a Premium Brand Identity for Award-Winning Tilers
Tiling Company Logo: PADL Bespoke Interiors
PADL Bespoke Interiors is a family-run business specialising in luxury bathrooms, large format tiling, and bespoke interiors. Led by Antony, an award-winning tiler who has been shortlisted for The Tile Association’s Tiler of the Year and recognised as one of the top 10 Master Tile Fixers in the UK, PADL has built a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. As Schlüter Authorised Installers, they deliver projects that combine technical precision with sophisticated design, creating spaces that exude elegance and stand the test of time. Their work has earned them the prestigious Best Bathroom Project 2023 award from Behind the Tiles, and they’ve been listed as one of the top 10 Master Tile Fixers in the UK by The Tile Association.
When Kitty approached us on behalf of the family business, the brief was clear: create a professional brand identity that would help them look credible to luxury clients. The tiling company logo needed to work seamlessly across multiple applications, from vehicle livery to sitting alongside prestigious supplier logos like Schlüter and Geberit. Most importantly, it had to reflect the artistry and precision that defines Antony’s work whilst positioning PADL as a premium choice in a competitive marketplace. They needed something that would immediately communicate quality and professionalism when potential clients first encountered their brand, whether that was on a van pulling up to a consultation or on marketing materials presented during a pitch.
Need a Logo That Wins Premium Clients?
How We Designed the PADL Logo
We began by looking at what was already out there. Competitor branding and supplier logos within the luxury interiors sector needed thorough analysis. This research phase was crucial because we needed to create a tiling company logo that would stand out, yet sit comfortably alongside established industry brands when PADL pitched for high-end projects. Understanding this balance informed every design decision we made throughout the entire process. We examined how premium brands in the sector positioned themselves visually, what colour palettes dominated the market, and crucially, what gaps existed that PADL could own.
Our creative exploration focused on celebrating the artistry inherent in Antony’s craft. We investigated the golden section spiral, a mathematical ratio found in nature and classical architecture that represents perfect proportion and has been used by designers and artists for centuries. We explored modular concepts where design elements interlocked and connected, mirroring the precision required in tile installation. We looked at ways the logo could be constructed in parts that were joined together, reflecting how individual tiles come together to create something beautiful and functional. This journey led us to an elegant solution: a repeating pattern constructed from the letter ‘P’ in PADL. This created a tiled effect that directly references their core expertise whilst maintaining clean, contemporary aesthetics that would appeal to their luxury clientele.
Working collaboratively with Kitty throughout the development process, we refined the concept and selected a sophisticated blue colour palette. Blue conveys trust, professionalism, and quality, which are essential attributes for a luxury service provider working on high-value residential projects. The final tiling company logo achieves everything the brief demanded. It’s bold enough to make an impact on vehicle graphics, ensuring PADL stands out when they arrive at client sites. It’s refined enough to appear alongside premium supplier brands without looking out of place. And it’s intelligent enough to communicate PADL’s craftsmanship through its very structure. The repeating ‘P’ pattern became more than just a logo. It became a visual signature of precision and artistry that helps them look professional to the luxury clients they serve, whilst also being memorable and distinctive in a crowded marketplace.
