Richard approached us needing a consultancy logo design that would establish credibility in the risk management sector whilst moving beyond traditional policing imagery. The challenge was to create a visual identity that balanced his extensive law enforcement background with a forward-thinking consultancy approach. The logo needed to convey trust and expertise whilst appealing to diverse sectors, incorporating concepts of progress, continuous learning, and the company’s PIPES value framework: Protection, Integrity, Partnerships, Expertise, and Support.

Our Approach to CoSafe's Consultancy Logo Design: Merging Heritage with Innovation
Our consultancy logo design process began by exploring Richard’s vision of upward trajectory and continuous improvement. He described the “evidential learning cycle” – a circular process that never truly closes but spirals beyond its starting point, representing ongoing development and progress. This concept became central to our design thinking, as it perfectly encapsulated both the consultancy’s methodology and its commitment to helping clients evolve.
The breakthrough came when we developed a letterform ‘C’ that functioned simultaneously as a clockwise arrow, symbolising forward momentum and positive change. We divided this circular form into five distinct sections, each representing one element of the PIPES value framework. This consultancy logo design solution elegantly merged multiple brand elements into a cohesive symbol that worked both as a standalone mark and integrated with the company name.
For the colour palette, we selected varying tones of blue – moving away from traditional police colours whilst maintaining the trust and professionalism associated with law enforcement. The Montserrat typeface provided the perfect complement to our consultancy logo design, offering friendly accessibility balanced with professional authority. Its flowing letterforms create visual harmony with the circular C icon, whilst the font’s flexibility across different weights ensures consistent brand application across all touchpoints.
