Our move to The Warehouse marked an exciting chapter for Eighty3 Design. This building, steeped in history, had been a hidden gem in Brierley Hill—both literally and figuratively. Its historic character was undeniable, but it was often overlooked, even by delivery drivers trying to locate it. To address this, we set out to create a visual identity that would make The Warehouse instantly recognisable while honouring its rich heritage and aligning it with modern design principles.
The brief was clear: the identity needed to respect the building’s storied past while establishing it as a forward-thinking hub for creativity. It wasn’t just about creating a logo or a colour palette; it was about developing a cohesive identity that resonated with the community, made The Warehouse easy to locate, and reflected the innovative work happening inside.

The Development Story: Recognisable, Timeless and Forward-Thinking
We began by diving into the history of The Warehouse. Its industrial roots and architectural details offered a wealth of inspiration. From the exposed brickwork to the large, arched windows, we found elements that could inform the design. Simultaneously, we considered the building’s future role as a creative hub, balancing the old with the new. This dual focus shaped every decision we made.
The identity needed to feel at home in its historic surroundings but also stand out in today’s modern landscape. To achieve this, we drew inspiration from The Warehouse’s interior to craft a sophisticated and striking colour palette. Rich navy tones anchor the design, evoking elegance and stability, while accents of gold bring warmth and a sense of heritage. Cream offers a soft, neutral backdrop, and vibrant turquoise adds a modern, energetic twist. This harmonious palette bridges the building’s past and future perfectly.
To ensure the visual identity was impactful, we designed bold signage, including a striking logo that incorporates The Warehouse’s architectural features. This logo appears across all touchpoints, from stationery to the building’s facade. By keeping the design versatile and memorable, we not only made the space easier to locate but also positioned it as a recognisable brand in its own right.
