Dudley CVS Community Action Awards: A Proud Win for Rebecca

We are still grinning from ear to ear after a truly unforgettable night at the Dudley CVS Community Action Awards, where our very own Rebecca walked away with the Business Supporting the Community award. When she spots a chance to lend a hand, help out a grassroots initiative, or introduce people who can get things done, she jumps right in with both feet. Last night, all that tireless graft was recognised on stage, and the whole Eighty3 crew could not be prouder.

The Dudley CVS Community Action Awards celebrate the real backbone of our borough: the volunteers, quiet heroes, and community champions working week in, week out to make life better across Dudley and the Black Country. Rebecca was nominated for her boundless dedication to our local area, using her creative background, extensive network, and personal time to back projects that make a genuine difference to people living in Brierley Hill. From rallying support for local spaces to offering practical creative advice to community groups, she puts her heart straight into our neighbourhood. Seeing that passion celebrated alongside so many inspiring people in the room was something truly special.

Anyone from around here knows the Black Country was built on graft, good humour, and people looking out for one another. That generous spirit was running through every single conversation in the room. In an era where news headlines can sometimes feel a bit heavy, spending an evening surrounded by people who roll up their sleeves and get stuck into helping their neighbours is a massive breath of fresh air. It is a wonderful reminder of why we love working right here in Brierley Hill. Being an active, supportive part of our local community will always sit at the very heart of how we operate at Eighty3.

A massive congratulations goes out to Rebecca, as well as to every fellow nominee and winner who shared the evening. Rebecca would probably laugh it off and tell you she was only doing her bit, but those of us who work alongside her every day know just how much love and energy she puts into this town. We marked the occasion with plenty of applause, a few celebratory drinks, and a huge appreciation for our local community. Here is to keeping the positive momentum rolling, championing our corner of the West Midlands, and continuing to do good work right where it counts.
